"When Wales Junior and Infant school celebrated it's centenary with an exhibition of local history and items by the children depicting life in the early days, it was suggested the a 'Visitors and Memories' bopk was opened. In it some of the visitor recorded their impressions of the exhibition and former pupils recalled memories of their days in the school. This Idea was further pursued by Mrs. Godfrey, who called upon more old scholars in their homes and invited them to tell of their early experiences. Many of these articles proved so interesting and worth sharing that it was decided to publish them..."
